Steamboat Ski Resort will once again host WinterWonderGrass, the three-day Music & Craft Brew Festival that blends live roots music, craft beverages and mountain culture into a signature winter event. The 2026 edition runs February 27 through March 1, with a free Welcome Party set for February 26.
Known for its strong sense of community and intimate alpine setting, WinterWonderGrass transforms the resort from base to summit into a snow-covered celebration featuring more than 20 bands across four stages. Festival programming takes place daily from 2–10 p.m. at the Upper Knoll.
This year’s headliners include The Devil Makes Three, Leftover Salmon, The Infamous Stringdusters and Elephant Revival. The lineup also features a broad roster of standout acts, including 11 artists making their WinterWonderGrass debut.
In addition to the ticketed main festival, organizers have scheduled a series of free performances throughout the resort. A Welcome Party will be held Thursday, February 26, at the base area. Complimentary shows are also planned for Steamboat Square and Thunderhead Lodge on Saturday and Sunday; access to Thunderhead Lodge requires a gondola ticket or Ikon Pass.
Beyond the music, WinterWonderGrass incorporates craft beer and whiskey tastings, family-friendly programming, workshops, artist collaborations and late-night sets, reinforcing its reputation as a hybrid of music festival and après-ski gathering.
Festival tickets are on sale now and the event historically sells out. Lodging discounts are available at The Steamboat Grand, with attendees able to save 30% using promo code SGWWG2026.
