Elvis Tribute Show ‘1969 LIVE!’ Sets 2027 Return After Back-to-Back Sellouts

Elvis is still packing the house in Las Vegas.

Following a second consecutive sold-out performance, Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino has announced that 1969 LIVE! – The King Returns will return to the International Theater on Saturday, July 31, 2027. The date marks the exact anniversary of Elvis Presley’s historic opening night at the former International Hotel on July 31, 1969—the performance that launched one of the most celebrated Las Vegas residencies in entertainment history.

Internationally acclaimed Elvis Tribute Artist Travis Powell will once again lead the production, recreating the energy, music and atmosphere of Presley’s legendary comeback on the same stage where it happened.

“Our job is to honor what made this property legendary while continuing to create experiences people can’t find anywhere else,” Cami Christensen, president and general manager of Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, said in a press release. “When fans sell out the International Theater two years in a row for 1969 LIVE! to celebrate something that happened five decades ago, it tells you everything you need to know about Elvis’ impact on Las Vegas.”

She added, “We look forward to welcoming fans back to 1969 LIVE! – The King Returns in 2027.”

The show features recreations of classics including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Suspicious Minds,” “All Shook Up,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Heartbreak Hotel” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

For Powell, performing the material inside the International Theater carries added weight.

“There are tribute shows, and then there’s performing Elvis in the International Theater,” Powell said in a statement. “Every time I walk onto that stage, I’m reminded of the history that was made there and the responsibility that comes with honoring it.”

“Seeing audiences continue to fill this theater year after year—and watching longtime Elvis fans share that experience with a whole new generation—is incredibly special. It’s an honor to help keep his music, his legacy and this remarkable place connected for fans from around the world.”

Powell will also return to Westgate this year for 1970 LIVE! – That’s The Way It Was on Oct. 24, 2026. Inspired by the concert documentary Elvis: That’s the Way It Is, the production recreates performances from the height of Presley’s Las Vegas run.

Tickets are on sale for both the Oct. 24, 2026 performance of 1970 LIVE! – That’s The Way It Was and the July 31, 2027 return of 1969 LIVE! – The King Returns here.

Elvis performed 636 sold-out shows at the former International Hotel, cementing the property’s place in Las Vegas entertainment history. More than five decades later, fans are still returning to the theater to relive the King’s defining Vegas era.
