Death Cab for Cutie will take its I Built You A Tower tour back across North America in 2027, announcing a 23-date spring run with support from Swapmeet.
The newly announced leg begins March 11 at The Truth in Nashville and runs through April 16 at ExploreAsheville.com Arena in Asheville, North Carolina. Before the spring run, Death Cab will also play a Jan. 19 show at Neal S. Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu.
Artist presales for most dates begin Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. local time, followed by local and venue presales Thursday, Sept. 24. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. local time. Individual venues may also offer additional cardholder or promoter presales. Ticketmaster listings for the tour confirm the Sept. 23 presale and Sept. 25 general onsale schedule.
Austin is the lone exception to the initial sales schedule. Death Cab is slated to perform there March 23, but a venue has not yet been announced and ticket-sale details are expected at a later date.
Among the larger stops on the run are two-night stands at The Eastern in Atlanta on March 14-15 and MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston on April 7-8. The itinerary also includes The St. Augustine Amphitheatre in Florida, Saenger Theatre in New Orleans, Detroit’s Masonic Temple, Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut and Radio City Music Hall in New York. The Canadian portion hits Niagara Falls, Ottawa and Montreal on three consecutive nights in early April.
Swapmeet will support Death Cab throughout the mainland spring run. The Honolulu performance is listed separately without Swapmeet.
The shows continue the touring cycle behind I Built You A Tower, Death Cab for Cutie’s 11th studio album, released June 5 through ANTI- Records. TicketNews previously covered the band’s move to ANTI- and its 2026 North American touring plans in January.
The new dates arrive as Death Cab continues an international I Built You A Tower tour that takes the band through Europe, Japan and Australia during the remainder of 2026. The group also released a new animated video for album track “Stone Over Water” alongside the 2027 tour announcement. Musician and animator Sean Solomon created and directed the video.
