Vivid Seats Raises 2026 Outlook After FIFA World Cup Demand Delivers Strong Q2

Vivid Seats is riding the FIFA World Cup wave.

The secondary ticket marketplace topped its own second-quarter expectations Tuesday, saying surging demand for the global soccer tournament helped fuel stronger sales and prompted the company to raise its full-year financial outlook.

For the quarter ended June 30, Vivid Seats reported Marketplace Gross Order Value (GOV) of $659.4 million on revenue of $129.9 million. The company posted a net loss of $14.3 million, while adjusted EBITDA reached $12.6 million.

CEO Lawrence Fey said that the company is “encouraged by the progress we’ve made through the first half of the year.”

“Our second quarter results exceeded expectations as we delivered sequential growth driven by the extraordinary demand created by the FIFA World Cup,” Fey said. “We continue to successfully execute against our strategic objectives. With leading technology, a compelling value proposition, differentiated data, and a relentless focus on operational excellence, we remain confident in our ability to drive long-term shareholder value.”

Buoyed by the stronger-than-expected quarter, Vivid Seats increased its 2026 guidance. The company now expects Marketplace GOV between $2.3 billion and $2.6 billion, raising the lower end of its previous forecast by $100 million.

Vivid also boosted the bottom end of its adjusted EBITDA outlook to $34 million to $40 million, up from its prior range of $30 million to $40 million, signaling confidence that demand will remain strong through the second half of the year.

The results underscore the impact blockbuster sporting events can have on the resale marketplace. While the FIFA World Cup provided a significant lift during the quarter, Vivid Seats said its investments in technology, marketplace data, and operational efficiency continue to position the company for long-term growth.

Despite remaining in the red on a GAAP basis, the improved guidance suggests Vivid Seats expects momentum from one of the biggest ticket-selling events in the world to carry into the rest of 2026.
